Working on Intel Xeon and Itanium processors, IDRISI serves 14 and 20 search queries per second, and indexes
150 and 190 documents per second respectively; based on a repository of 3 million documents. These are the
outcomes of IDRISI test in the Intel Labs in the UK to comply with the international standards of performance of
search engines.

The IDRISI administration tool is easy to use. It operates through a standard bilingual Web-based interface. Instructions, tips and help screens show the administrator how to execute work without the need for an external reference. The process of searching is also made easy so that users can find data easily.
