The Summarizer is used for summarizing Arabic and English documents. Based on linguistic analysis of the document, it extracts the main ideas to make it possible for the user to preview these ideas instead of reading the whole document, thus saving time and effort.

The Summarizer extracts the main ideas in the document according to the options the user specifies. For example, the user can specify where to display the summary (in the same document, in a new document or highlighted in the same document). The user can also specify the summary range (the percentage of summary as to the original, or specify the number of sentences in the summary itself).

The Summarizer can process all text files supported by Microsoft Word 97/2000, such as DOC, TXT, HTML, RTF, etc. It is also capable of handling both Arabic and English text files with the same efficiency. The Summarizer is available with both Arabic and English interfaces.

The Summarizer can handle common Arabic spelling mistakes (Hamza, Yaa and Haa). If any of these mistakes are included in the processed file, the Summarizer will recognize the correct word.

The Summarizer is based on Sakhr's accumulated research in Natural Language Processing, NLP, and Morphological Analysis over many years.
