Educational Modern Standard Arabic children's cartoon DVD series, Tareq
wa Shireen, is the first of its kind, and is ideal for families raising
their children fluent in Arabic. In each episode Tareq and Shireen and
their group of friends have fun exploring the different subjects with
singing and music, imagination and curiosity.
The story lines reinforce positive behavior, good deeds, love and
understanding. The stories introduce our Arabian ancestors and teach
children positive values, history through fables, norms and traditions,
love for the land, and acceptance of others regardless of ethnicity and
differences. The characters model different backgrounds, that portray
the diversity within the Arab culture, socioeconomic conditions, gender
and age. The episodes focus on problem solving skills, discovery
learning, and using their imaginations. The themes were researched and
developed by a team of bilingual education specialists.
The design is illustrated based on Arab features, traditional dress,
character design, background design, music, and classical Arabic
language. Rubicon is proud of its quality production its being designed

Dazzled by beauty, she cares for family and friends. Shireen is known to
be kind hearted and easily distracted by beautiful objects
Husam
Quickly provoked by his identical twin Wisam, Husam is distinguished by
his darker hair. Delighted about science and math, he enjoys inquiring
about his favorite subjects.
Wisam
Identical Twin to Husam. Wisam is no doubt a great actor! He is
consciously imitating his brother and usually gets them both into big
trouble.
Haidar
Chubby an d witty, Haidar is always on the look out for amusing schemes.
to capture his friends’ attention. Haidar’s charm never fails to
captivate his friends.
Haifa
Always to the rescue. Haifa’s ingenious plans to help her friends get
out of trouble never fails. Shy and kind hearted, Haifa is known for her
rosy red checks.
Filfil
A perceptive and cleaver cat! He can talk anyone into anything
(generally getting them into trouble). When things go out of control,
Filfil scurries away.
Tharif
A grumpy moody dog who is stubborn and hard headed. He is always slow to
understand things, which makes him a target of Hassoun’s and Filfil’s
practical jokes.
Hassoun
A charming lovable blue bird, Hassoun is almost always snooping around
for news! Hassoun can never keep a secret!
